Steven Paul Winkelstein is a designer and storyteller from Margate City, New Jersey, where he developed a deep passion for creating.

He began writing and world-building at a very young age, while his interest in technology and design took form in early experimentation with CAAD (computer aided architectural drawing) and flash animation. He followed his passions to the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he studied Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. Soon after, he founded Mystic Waters Publishing and began publishing original books, including an award-winning children's book and an Amazon best-selling, Kirkus Review Recommended non-fiction book about the Holocaust, Brisko: A True Tale of Holocaust Survival.

Steven moved to Colorado in January of 2012, and took a job as a barista at Alfalfa's Market but soon found himself leading the marketing operations of the entire company as Alfalfa’s Marketing Director. With his love for storytelling growing, and his desire to help people along their own journeys, he discovered the emerging field of user experience design and finally found a home for his range of skills and interests.

In 2017 he immersed himself in the details of the iterative design process as a UX Designer at General Assembly. There, he fell in love with human-centered design and began the next electrifying stage of his journey.

Steven is currently a UX Design & Architect consultant at Silverline, a consultancy dedicated to finding innovative solutions deployed through the Salesforce platform.

He is immersing himself in art and living the nomad life to explore more of the world.
